The US Southwest - Bryce Canyon in March

Bryce Canyon is one of the most beautiful parks in the US Parks national parks system.  As a drylands park, all of the usual precautions apply - take lots of water, and let people know which trail you are walking on.  The trails that go down into the canyon are mapped on the park brochures, but the intersections  of trails can be confusing both on the maps and on the ground.  Note that cell phones don't necessarily get a signal in this deep park.  One thing to consider is that if you go down into the canyon, it will take you twice as long (at least) to walk back out. So, set out early, and anticipate a considerable amount of time hiking in and out.  their web site
